Dear Families,

We hope this finds you and your families well and safe. We have been busy preparing for the day with great hopes of reconnecting with you and our students.

In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 within our business, we have instituted the following strategies to help protect our teachers, parents and students. The new measures outlined below will be in place for the foreseeable future.
First of all, we ask that if you think you have been exposed to COVID-19, if you are experiencing any symptoms, or even if you don't feel well, please stay home.

If you don't feel comfortable coming in at this time, you can continue lessons virtually with us.

New Check-In:

  1. Upon arrival to The Music Loft, please proceed upstairs to our lobby area no earlier than 3 minutes before your lessons.

Lesson Schedules:

  1. Lessons will be staggered to avoid large numbers of people at the same time.

  2. Hours of operation for walk in clients will be different from lesson times.

In Our Lobby:

  1. We have re-positioned our chairs to observe proper distancing protocols.

  2. We will restrict our waiting room to 10 parents at a time and 5 people in Ashburn. If you feel more comfortable you may also wait in the back hallway where chairs will be provided or in your vehicle.

  3. If you wait outside of the lobby area, please come in 3 minutes before your child’s lesson will end.

  4. No food or drinks will be allowed inside, however your child may come with their own water bottle.

  5. All fabric surfaces have been disinfected with Lysol and will be sprayed down several times a day. All other surfaces will be wiped down with Clorox several times a day.

  6. We have temporarily removed our toys, magazines and books, coffee machine and water cooler.

  7. We ask that you provide your own masks for you and your child. If you forgot one, you will be provided with a complimentary mask.

  8. We will have hand sanitizer available however please feel free to bring your own for your child. Hand sanitizer is still difficult to come by.

In Our Classrooms:

  1. All pianos will be wiped down before and after each lesson with Clorox.

  2. All teachers and students will wear masks for each lesson.

  3. Teachers will maintain a safe distance from the student.

Our goal is to provide our students a fun and safe learning experience. We all miss connecting and making music together. For many students, their music teacher is a friend, a support, and a place where they can explore and enjoy the beauty of music.

We look forward to welcoming you all back when you are comfortable.
